My car has two radiator fan motors. A/C fan has spoiled. Do I need to change both radiator fan motors if one fails? My mechanic is suggesting changing both.

Hello,

There is no rule that says you must change both fans if just one fails.
Sometimes it can be a good idea, that way you will know that you have two good fans and if the second one fails you won't have to do the labor again.

So, it is really up to you or what you would like to do. But it is not required to change both.
