1990 Oldsmobile Silhouette when I hit brakes van dies

When I hit brakes van dies, then will not show any signs of electrical when key is turned again, the battery is good. I know its a short of some type. Where is the best place to start? I dont know ignition systems that well what cani do to get this van started?

Hi, when the problem occurs, if your saying, the starter won't crank, no dash lites, nothing, I'd have to check the feed to and from the ignition switch.
The two red wires, left side of picture, voltage to switch, hot all the time. The other circuits, feed from the switch, meaning, the key has to be in certain position, before circuit goes hot.
