Car sat for about 2 months, now won't start. Have fuel to shroeder valve and fuel pump times out. Pulled a plug- have spark. It coughs and sputters like it wants to go but won't. It acts just like an older carburated car that's flooded. What does a MAP sensor do? It has no engine codes

Does car fire up with Starting fluid.

The manifold absolute pressure sensor provides manifold pressure information to the engine's ECU and in turn calculates air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn is used to calculate the appropriate fuel flow.
