Olds intrigue, 2001 98,000 3.5

had head gaskets replaced, thermostat replaced, radiator replaced, had heater core flushed, now car over heats with standard thermostat. Mechanic drilled a small hole in the thermostat now car runs to cold. Does not reach the quarter mark on heat gauge. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHY THE MECHINAC DRILLED A HOLE INTO THE THERMOSTAT? AND WHY THE CAR IS NOT PUTTING OUT HEAT? Water pump was checked but not replaced.

thank you hope to hear from u soon

Sounds to be that that ol boy just didn't know what he was doin. Daddy says if the thermastat can't seal, then it just miaswell be stuck open. I guess he fixd the overheatin didn't he? An Maybe he just shoulda tried a new thermastat. Daddy says that sometimes you get a bad one even though it's new.

Daddy wants to know if the heads got shaved an ceacked for cracks or pressure when y'all had em off?

I didn't know know those heads could even grow hair. That must be why they callem Heads!

UUUHHHH, How Frisky are ya?
