1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass Cruiser, 165,000, engine size is 3100 SFI V6 3.1 liters. This car runs like new and is in excellent condition.
The AC is not producing "cold" air as it use to. This AC is only about 5 years old, I have had it recharged once by the dealer. Do you think a loose belt can cause this or is it the Freon being low?
Today the outside temp was over 90 degrees and it never reached what I would consider cool even after driving 25 miles.

I would say no on the belt. The freon is likley low, but is it normal or is it from a leak. I would start with a re-charge ( or conversion to r-134a) if it is r-12.
