I have 2000 Olds Bravada Platinum Edition with 121000 miles on it. Had a CV Joint replaced on it and now I am having a problem with my brakes. Every time I apply the brakes it feels like my ABS is kicking in, my pedal gets very tight even if I am coasting at 20 miles an hour and apply the brakes to stop you can hear the same sound you would hear if you were applying the breaks b4 you got into an accident and your ABS kicked in like it should. My front brakes and front discs were replaced at the same time my CV Joint was replaced. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Sounds like it is false abs ing.
Need to check the computer for codes. It should signal which wheel is the problem area. You may have an incorrect or damaged shaft that has the ABS ring on it. (Although ring may be part of the rotor on this one)

Maybe a wheel speed sensor or the harness going to it may have a problem. The ebcm is rarley a problem, but can't be ruled out just yet.

What is happening most likley is that one wheel is not sending a signal that it's turning and the ebcm thinks it is slipping on ice or similiar thus activating the abs.
