1991 Olds Cutlas; No heat

This is for a 1991 Olds Cutlas with 60,000 miles. 2.5 liter engine. Have replaced the thermostat, radiator, still no heat. The thermostat housing gets hot. Thought it was a bad thermostat, and replaced it again, still no heat. Have been told that there could be air in the system. Let it run for 45 min to an hour, still no heat with radiator cap off. There is no circulation in the radiator when the engine is running.
Please help if you have any suggestions. Thank you.?

If the antifreeze was not circulating the vehicle would overheat. Ther might be a vapor lock at the heater core. Or the heater core could be clogged. Does the heater core hoses get hot? If not back flush the heater core with the car cold
