My car developed a "miss" while idling about a month ago but does fine around town and on short trips. About three weeks ago we got on the interstate and drove approximately 40 miles when it began missing, bucking and lost power. We were able to get it back home and it died when I got to the driveway. I've continued driving it and it does fine as long as I don't drive it for a long distance. It seems that the hotter the engine gets, the more problems I have. On a cool day it does better than on a hot day. I hope you can help. I don't want a car payment. Thanks!

Hello
2 things to check first, fuel pressure possibly a plugged fuel filter or bad fuel pump also check the coolant temp sensor if this is reading incorrectly the computer will either add too much fuel or not enough depending on engine temp.
