Water temp. Light came on, I was able to stop before it red lined(but close).I added NEEDED 50% coolant/water also quart of 5w30 oil as I've a oil leak. After 30 minutes went to go around block to check things out. Car had no power and died once on me, parked it. Tried the next day Water temp within limits but still no power! It is like pressing on the gas pedal and you go 10 miles per hour. Rechecked car today with different results Temp light came on (water pump-?) And idled very rough. I tried somthing else I held the acclerator down an engine rev'd up, but then could not mantain the high rpms.

Thank you in advance

First check for compression in all cylinders. When engines overheat the piston rings can leak

Recheck your coolant level, you may have blown a head gasket.

Examine the coolant for oil and look for water out the tail pipe
