1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass keeps stalling

When ever I start the car it runs smooth but when I put it in gear it start to shake very roughly. As of lately It'll start to stutter then it''l die. But it'll start right back up. Help please.

Check your idle air control valve. Sounds like its malfunctioning. Have you had any transmission problems lately?

Make sure your air filter is clean too. Because it sounds like its starving for air, this is where the idle air control valve comes in.

Well I just bought the car and IDK if I have a 3rd gear yet. But she shifts into gear rough but change gears when moving smoothly.
