I have replaced the water pump twice in one week, had a tune-up done, radiator flushed, and the temperature gauge still goes to hot. Even if the car has been sitting all day. I can't even get down the drive way without the gauge going to the red zone which cases my track to go off and shut the car down. I can not afford another car and the mechanics are confuse and don't know what the problem is. I am getting ready to take the car back and replace the radiator next. Help!

If it overheats that fast, (can't get down driveway), either there is no coolant circulating or the gauge is wrong. Have you checked the actual coolant temp when the gauge says hot? They make a thermometer for checking coolant in the radiator. Start with a cold engine, remove the rad cap, place the thermometer in the coolant and start the car. The thermostat should fully open at 195 degrees F. Compare the gauge in the car with the thermometer to see if they are both the same. If they are not, you may have a bad temperature sending unit.
