Electrical problem
2001 Oldsmobile Alero 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the headlights, radio and dash indicators do not operate after starting the engine. They all magically start working after a few minutes of driving. This is a Canadian car and has about 110,000 kms. Is it ok to continue driving it? Will the problem intensify? I think the BCM may need replacing. Your expert opinion would be most appreciated.

I think you know exactly what your talking about with the bcm, the mileage is nothing, thats like a new car a hundred thousand. Nothing, some of the bcm terminals may be a little corroded from the heat and humidity. Over the years, but they can be cleaned. I would also check the fuses first. Before going for the bcm
