1995 Oldsmobile Achieva Head gasket

1995 Oldsmobile Achieva 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I've been given a 95 Olds Achieva with a blown head gasket. I bought new ones and the tool to hold the cams in place. But now i'm trying to tear into it, but was stopped before I started by noticing that the ENGINE MOUNT was in the way of removing the Timing cover. My question is simply do I have to pull the motor to replace this gasket, or could I put a jack under the engine and and remove the motor mount that's in my way and procced from there?
