The nut on my oil pressure regulator is rounded off the socket that removes it just slips. I sprayed brake cleaner around it. Would that in anyway compromise the extraction of it?

Good morning.

Do you mean the oil pressure switch or the regulator in the oil pump? Number 5 in the picture.

It is the regulator. It is on the back of motor by the crank shaft sensor. I think has a long gated black plug and the nut has a smash washer screws right into the block.

I got. Ended up braking it at nut mushroom the head of bolt and it grabbed it the socket. Is there supposed to be a screen in there. I know Chevrolet started regularly in 2007 with them I have read it is yes and no with the 99.

No, no screen for that one needed.

Why are you replacing this?
