Hello, my oil pressure is having some issues and I’m having trouble trying to diagnose. When the car first start up, the bar goes up to 3 and pressure is fine. Once the car gets warmed up and driven for a while, at stop lights, pressure drops to zero. There are no noises coming from the engine. Only thing that happened was “skip” feeling while trying to drive again. That happened once. Wasn’t sure if the engine was trying to seize or not. Oil levels are right where they need to be. There is a leak and I believe there may be a gasket issue as well. But haven’t had this problem until recently. Could this be the oil pressure sender? Pump? I’m lost at this point. Thanks for the help!

Hello,

To make sure if you problem is from the engine or the sender you must install outside oil pressure gauge.

check our link below how to fix low oil pressure:

Check the diagrams below specific to your engine how to check the oil pressure by using oil pressure gauge.
