Oil pressure gauge not working properly?

Just replaced the oil pressure sensor. Fresh oil change with filter. The gauge in the truck reads just below 20. When driving with RPMs up the gauge will read 40. Also, to note the gauge does not read 0 when the truck is off.

Did you have this problem before the sensor change? If so, the gauge sounds like it is going bad, but I would try a hard system reboot which may make them start working again.
