Oil light and engine light comes on

Driving down the road the oil light comes, its not making any noise like ticking or doesnt seem to drive any different, why does the oil light come on

There are a number of causes of this but the reason the light is coming on is because the PCM is seeing the oil pressure too low.

The possible causes are low oil level, weak oil pump, or even a faulty sensor.

So here are guides that will help with this as I would suggest changing the oil and making sure it is clean and proper level.

Next we need to hook a mechanical gauge to the engine and find out if it is truly low. If not then the sensor is the issue. If it is then we need to do more intrusive inspections of the engine.
