Oil leaking from the v area of the engine and running on to the top of the transaxle I'm not sure is it coming from the oil switch or the oil filter housing. How do I remove the oil filter housing to check the gasket? The valve covers gaskets, and the oil switch was replaced June 3th, 2024.

Hi,

If you had already replaced the oil pressure switch, you would have had the intake manifold off. Was it wet in that area? These are very common to leak and run down the rear of the intake and the back of the engine. Most people identify it as a rear main engine leak.

As far as the oil filter assembly is concerned, the intake needs to be removed again, a coolant sensor, and then there is a coolant pipe that will need to be removed. I attached the directions below for you.

Let me know where you are seeing the oil leak and if the intake was removed for replacement.

Take care,

Joe
