My car is using oil about a quart every 400 to 500 miles. There is no external leak nor is the engine smoking at the tailpipe. Supposedly the engine was completely overhaul last year.

Hello,

Okay, the oil has to be going somewhere. If it isn't leaking or not being burnt by your vehicle's engine, then the only other place it could go would be into your vehicle's cooling system. Check the condition of the coolant, double and triple check for oil leaking, paying special attention to the oil pan, sending unit, rear and front main seals, and valve covers. Also you may want to double check the condition of your exhaust pipe. Double check that there isn't any puddles underneath your vehicle and get back to us with what you are able to find. Below is also a link that you might find helpful as well.
