Could you please tell me what size socket would I use to get the oil filter cap off so I could replace the filter? And also what size wrench for the drain plug?

The cover hex is a 24mm, Most of the time you can wipe it clean and grab it with your hand and turn it free, it is only on there around 15 ft lbs. The drain plug is a 13 mm. Unless someone changed it due to a stripped hole.
Remove the filter cap first so it can drain fully when you remove the drain plug. Normally I will remove the cover, pull the old filter out (a cut open soda jug is handy to drop it in, cut the side out and leave the spout), That way you can tip it up into the drain pan to catch the old oil without it dripping all over the place. Then I remove the drain bolt. Then clean the oil out of the filter housing, replace the o-ring and install the new filter. By that time the oil should be done draining. Wipe off the plug, reinstall it. Wipe up any oil. Come up top and fill with new oil. Start engine, check for leaks. No leaks? Shut the engine off. Pick up the tools, let the car down. Check the oil level, add as needed.
