Oil change running 5w30?

I have been running 5w30 conventional oil in the car since I bought it new and was wondering if I can change over to synthetic 5w30 now. What are you thoughts car has 78000 miles on it.

Very little of the "conventional" oil out there actually is these days, much of it is some form of blend with synthetic ingredients. However you likely won't see any real changes in modern engines just changing to synthetic except it is likely easier to find. Depending on how the engine is internally you might see increased oil usage.
