I connect my obd2 code reader and a message saying "no link" pops up. So I can't get codes and yes the check engine light comes on.

Hello,

In the diagrams down below I have included the factory diagnostic troubleshooting guide for tracking the problem with your vehicle's Data Link Connector (DLC) which is where you plug in your code reader to read the Direct Trouble Code(s)(DTC)(s) from your vehicle's Power-train Control Module (PCM). It will require you to use a multi-meter so I have included a link below for you if you are unfamiliar with how to us one.

Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
