When I first start the car say when I first get up in the morning it will start up and slowly shut off unless I give it some gas up to 2500 rpm's for a few seconds then it is fine unless I do not crank it for along spat. It is reading a p0400 EGR valve and a idle air valve, also I have been having idle issue. I adjusted the cable and reset the IAC.

P0400 is a fault with the EGR system but from your description of the symptoms, it should not be the cause of the problem. Your main issue should be the idling system.

Usual fault with the idling system would be dirt clogging the air passages of the IAC and throttle body, were they cleaned? You mentioned resetting the IAC, how was it done? If the IAC and throttle body is dirty, resetting the IAC by means of clearing the memory would more likely aggravate the problem.

How was the throttle cable adjusted? There must be sufficient slack of the cable, otherwise the idle would not be stable as the throttle would not close correctly.

I have yet too clean the IAC and the throttle body is not been cleaned yet either, the problem mainly stayed when I had some one adjust the cable, (they was not a mechanic obviously) and it cranked up and I thought it was all good but after he left I went to crank it up and it shuts off, so I been stuck to figure it out on my own. I am mechanically inclined some what. I have changed my tie rod ends, starters, alternators, transmission fluid pans etc, but no wiz you know. I reset the ECM by doing some things like turn on the ignition pumping the pedal five times in five seconds and then holding down the gas for twenty seconds.
I am thinking about cleaning the IAC an do throttle body, then the EGR. Also I have a crack in the insulator tube by my mass air flow I got the part order for tomorrow so I hope it is going to help.

Hello,

I agree cleaning the throttle bore and IAC is where I would start. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job:

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
