So I replaced the idler pulley in my car which was making the belt lose. So I fixed it and thought that's why my car wasn't running and yes it was a problem but now it wont start. It will turn over and give gas and a spark. It builds pressure but it will not start and it revs like it wants to.

Hello,

An engine only needs three things and then it pretty much has to start. In no particular order they are fuel, spark [delivered at the proper time], and compression. If you have verified that there is fuel pressure at the fuel rail and the fuel injectors are firing, and there is spark at the spark plugs, then the only thing that would stop the engine from starting would be the engine's compression, or lack there of. In the diagrams down below I have included a link to a guide describing how to do a compression test.

Please go through this guide and get back to us with the results. We can go from there.

Thanks,
Alex
