I have an inline six cylinder 4.2 liter engine.
I have replaced my spark plugs, distributor, the solenoid to the distributor, the ignition motor control.
This part it looks like the ignition module, but that is on the drivers side. This box is on the right fender with only one plug with eight wires. I followed the wires and it hooks to my fuse box and the ignition module.
I’m at a loss to what it is, and how to fix my problem.

Here are the pictures of the part and where the wiring goes to. Not sure if this is causing my problem of not getting spark, but the part looks super old.

I am getting fuel, but not spark going to my distributor coil.

Yes, that is the ignition module. Did you check if a spark is coming out of the ignition coil? If it does it could be the ignition module, if it doesn't you might be looking at a faulty ignition coil.
Also sometimes when the ignition lock cylinder goes bad, there's no contact to close the circuit and energize the coil in the first place.

Good morning,

Lets back up.

Do you have power to the positive side of the ignition coil? Use a test light or voltmeter to confirm.

We need to take step by step here to help. you have thrown many parts with no results and that gets expensive.

I am getting power to the ignition coil, but not very much. I’m only getting 2 to 3 volts.

That is no good. You need battery voltage. That should be at least 12.6 volts.

Sounds like you have a bad ignition switch or connector on the switch.

I would start there having someone check it for you.
