My new car listed above is the Fr advanced 2.0 150 horsepower is making a strange ticking noise. I have the car exactly one week.
I brought it to the dealer yesterday and they told me that Seat said it was completely normal for this motor to make this noise.
Do you have any opinion on the matter?

As a TDi engine they make a different noise than the older engines, they will have a loud tick as the injectors are triggered. It can be annoying if you do not expect it.

It could be something else but if they say it is normal then it is likely the TDi system.

Hello Steve. This is a ticking noise. It does not matter if the car is cold, warm or just after being being started.
It is not very loud but it is very annoying.
For the moment they have told me it is normal and have offered me no explication in any shape or form.

Yeah, that sounds like the typical TDI noise. It is because the injectors are firing high pressure fuel compared to the older vehicles. I agree it is annoying. Google " direct injection noise " and you can read all about it.

Will it disappear with time or is it something I have to get used to?
