I had a P0500 code, speedometer interminting and no shifting.I changed the vehicle speed sensor (L) transmission. Worked for a day, then stopped. So I found the wires were shorting out. Replaced the wires and connector. Also, replaced the vehicle speed sensor again, no AC voltage on it when I turned it with a drill. Got a new sensor installed, It put out 3vac with the drill. So, now new sensor and wires, ground was check and good on the pink wire. The gray was not shorted and 200 ohms from ground to vehicle speed sensor+. Still not working? Any suggestions

Hello Gordon

It looks like the VSS wiring goes directly into the PCM which could be shorted out, check the wiring going it the computer for the sensor first, here is a guide that will help you do the testing
