Spray fluid in starts. Pump is good no codes show up no codes stored. This is ecotec. I have tried to go through theft sequence not getting anywhere. Also have read three versions of this key on and off for ten minute intervals. Should I be looking at something else and if you think is vat? Please tell me right way. Thanks

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

If you tried the sequence of allowing the key on for ten minutes and the anti-theft light is not flashing, then I think you have a different problem. Since it is fuel related, I will assume that the pump is producing pressure within the manufacturer's specs. However, I want you to check something. There is a relay in the under hood relay box which is for both the pump and the injectors. I want you to switch that relay with a different one from the box that has the same part number. I have attached pictures of the relays, locations, legends for you to see.

Next, if you did not actually check fuel pump pressure, I would recommend doing if even of you hear the pump engage. It may be too low. And finally, I want to know if the injectors are getting power. Here are two links which show how to check pressure and the injectors:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-fuel-injector

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

The manufacturer's specs for pump pressure:

Fuel Pressure (Key On, Engine Off) 345-414 kPa (50-60 psi).

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
Take care,
Joe

The injectors and pump are not working. Tested the pump which is new it works. There for no pressure to front rail. Theft light is out I put new relays in pump spot and crank spot. Did not check regulator with no pressure.

Have you confirmed fuses are good? There is a fuse designated for the injectors / fuel pump. If the fuse is good (check for continuity to confirm) make sure there is power to the fuse. See attached.

Let me know.
