No remote detected when starting?

The car has been giving the message "no remote detected" when starting. It is not every time, mostly at the first start of the day or after it has been sitting awhile. We purchased a new key fob, but the problem pursuits. After looking around online, I am guessing it is not receiving the signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This problem can be the keyless entry antenna, keyless entry control module or the BCM is going out, but you should check the fuse BCM# 8 at the lower left side of the dash panel. I would run a CAN scan to see what codes come up. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
