Hi there,

My car listed above plus model has broke down. There's no power on acceleration pedal. When I press the start button it doesn't start the engine. Something like orange light appear on the start button. I have no idea whatsoever what this could be.

If you have any helpful advise any suggestion please advise. I will be very grateful for your time. Thank you

Your description sounds like the 12 volt starting battery may have failed. The Prius uses the 12 volt battery to start the engine and run things like the radio, lights, wipers and start the engine as well. If it fails the vehicle will not operate. If you get in and push the start button once without stepping on the brakes and now try the radio, lights and see if they come on it may give a clue if that battery is okay. If they are not working or if the lights are very dim then the battery is likely the problem. Then you would need to determine if it simply failed or if there is a drain in the system. That can be done using a charging system tester.

Sorry, we are US based and as a general rule we don't like to name shops.
On a hybrid it is always advisable to have a shop that knows them to look at them. There are parts in those cars that can kill you even if the car is completely shut off.
