Engine will not crank

2008 toyota prius hybrid: engine will not crank. Car had been wrecked & transaxle was removed to weld crack in case. Problem occured after reinstalling transaxle. Also, welding was done to repair front frame rail (the auxiliary battery was disconnected during welding). The dash indicators and the hybrid system monitor come on normally. The car will shift from "P" to "N" normally but engine does not crank. All the fuses & relays check ok.

Hello,

As you know the starter is the hybrid motor which is controlled by the computer so you might have a fuse out. We should also run the codes to see what comes up here is are two guide to help us get started. I also included the engine and hybrid wiring diagrams below so you can see how the system works and to see which fuses you should check.

There are a bunch of diagrams so hang in there. Fuses first. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.
