Have you checked the coolant level?
Are the fans operating?

A lot of cars have a limp mode that activates when the engine is too hot, it will limit engine power in the event of high temperatures. The point of this is so you do not try to force it to go.

Check those two items and let me know what you find.

Hello,

Couple questions. First of all, is your check engine or service engine light illuminated? If it is, I would recommend pulling the codes (link below) to see what it gives.

Next, have you checked your oil? If the oil has a white/creamy color and texture, you may have a blown head gasket.

Additionally, your cars' catalytic converter could be plugged. Below is a link with more information on the emission system.

These are a couple things to take into consideration.

Please keep me posted on what you find and let me know if I can be of any more help.

William
