Hi,

You have your hands full with this one. I reviewed the codes and the one that stands out is the P0500. That is indicating a breakdown in the CAN bus system. I would suggest checking total resistance in the under hood can system. I have a feeling there is an open circuit.

- X63/4 (CAN databus adapter connector, 2-pin)

Test sequence
- Switch off ignition
- Measurement with multimeter
- (X63/4) 2.22.1 (X63/4)
- Adapter cable no. W220 589 00 99 36 may be used.

Specified value
- [55.65] ohms

Question: Is the measured value within the specified value range?

No
- The measured value is not o.K.
Possible cause and remedy
- Cable from component N3/10 (ME-SFI control module) to component X63/4 (CAN databus adapter connector, 2-pin)
- Test terminating resistor of component X63/4 (CAN databus adapter connector, 2-pin).
- Test terminating resistor of CAN element in control module N3/10 (ME-SFI control module).
**End of test**

Yes
- The measured value is o.K.
**End of test**

After days of tracing the problem, I shook the wires running under the trim (left hand side) at the CAN adapter connector, then the gear selector could move out of p and the car started.
Thank you so much.

Hi,

Glad to hear it's running. Was the connector loose or corroded? Regardless, glad it's running.

Let me know.
