2003 Mercedes Benz C230 Idling Problem

Just yesterday, I went to stop at a light and noticed that my car was idling very low and very rough. It sounded like it was almost going to stall out, but it kept jumping up and down a little. Every time I would slow down after this, it did the same thing - idling very low and jumpy. Just looking for an idea of what could be the possible problems before I take it to the auto repair shop.

Did the check engine light come on? Look under the hood for any vacuum lines that may have broken or fallen off. If the light came on then that is the cars computer telling you there is a problem. A scan of the PCM will give us a direction to go in
