My car will not start or crank when I turn the key to that position. I pulled the starter relay out and I can jump across the relay from the power to the terminal that sends it to the solenoid and it will turn over that way. Does that mean my relay is bad?

Hi,

First, see if it will start in neutral. There could be an issue with the neutral/park safety switch.

If the relay is good, then check to see if the fuses are good. If you look at pic 1, it shows the entire wiring schematic of the starting system. I highlighted two fuses I need you to check. In addition to checking the fuse condition, make sure there is power to and from the fuse. Here is a link to help:

If you look at pic 2, it shows the fuse box under the hood. I highlighted the fuse to check. Pic 3 shows the interior fuse box. There are two fuses I need you to check. I highlighted them.

Do this and let me know what you find.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe
