I am working on a friend's vehicle. I was told it ran great until one day last week it quit turning over.I replaced the clutch pedal sensor and it fired right up. Two days later he tells me that the same thing is happening. There are no blown fuses and all the wiring is in great shape. I was thinking it could be the ignition switch. Thanks

I checked all the connections and the battery terminals were the worst. But after all that all I'm getting is a single click from the distributor/solenoid. Still no crank.

I grabbed your starting system diagram from "Prodemand"

Pretty simple

Possibilities can only be (worst 1st)

Engine locked, will not move (With the KEY OFF, can you do 2 crankshaft revolutions with a ratchet or wrench-see pic below of my Jeep engine)

Bad starter or starter solenoid (remove and have tested at a parts store)

Clutch start interlock (disconnect and TEMPORARILY jump across the connector)

Weak or bad battery (even a new one can be bad-pull it and have it tested at an auto parts store)

Engine control system fuse

Connections
