about 2 months ago I had a failure to start after brief stop. I tapped on coil and it started and did this 3 times. New coil has been fine for 4 wks, then again it does this, tap coil starts, coil tests well as does the IC unit.I'm a former electronic tech and a decent mechanic, all wiring and voltages are fine and clean, my haynes manual is a little confusing. Do I next go through the ecu flashes routine. I'm praying its not in that as I am broke, thank you ken and a donation will be on its way in short order if you can help me out thanks again.

Check for battery voltage at black and white wire at coil and the blue wire at the power transistor.

Also test the crankshaft position sensor see below

No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it.
