Engine Performance problem
1993 Nissan Truck 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 198900 miles
Basically, I can't figure out why it won't start. The starter engages, the fuel pumps, the injectors inject, the plugs spark, but nothing happens. I have tested the above, as well as the following: ignition coil, distributor/cap/rotor, oil pump, gasoline quality, timing chain, compression (110, 152, 152, 152 respectively) and am wondering if a compression of 110 on one piston would actually cause this truck to not start? (The minimum is 142, the standard is 192) I tossed some oil into that cylinder, and the compression jumped up to 180, so it seems to be piston rings. It's the only idea I have left, but if anyone else has a simpler one than tearing the engine back apart, which still may not be the correct course of action, I would love to hear it.
