1993 Nissan Sentra fuel filter

I am having trouble locating the fuel filter on my 1993 nissan sentra. The car was running then it seemed like it would not take gas or respond to the accelerator then I turned the car off now it just putters when I tried to start it and it never really starts. Is the problem even the fuel filter

A clogged fuel filter will rarely stop a vehicle from starting, just cause it to run rough. Test the fuel pump and check fuel pressure at fuel rail. Could be a faulty pump or no power getting to the pump.
