Engine Mechanical problem
2004 Nissan Quest 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

The engine won't turn over. What do you think could be the problem and do you think it will cost $3000? A mechanic said it was a sensor problem and then he said it was the timing belt. The final analysis was that it would cost $3000 to fix, which is so hard for me to believe!

Hello,

I don't know why a mechanic would say that without checking the vehicle out first. I sounds like the starter is out and needs to be replaced. here is a guide that will show you what you are in for when changing the starter and how to test it to make sure it is the problem.

Please run this test and get back to us so we can continue helping you.

Cheers, Ken
