Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2002 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

When replacing front wheel bearings are the new bearings sealed and pre-packed or do I need to pack the bearing out of the box?

If they are sealed then they dont need to be packed, but usually they come in a box with a little bit of light oil on them to prevent rust, from there all you have to do is pack them with high temp wheel bearing grease.

They wont be, trust me, I have yet to ever use one!

When you pack them be sure to push from the bottom of the bearing till it comes out the top, and dont overtorque the bearing!

And when putting in the bearing keep tightenging while turning the wheel to make sure it sets in squarley, be sure to go about.5X more then whats recommended, then back it off then torque it properly.
