Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
2000 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The driver's side CV joint is bad on my 2000 Nissan Maxima. It starts clicking whenever I turn left. What exactly will I need to replace this myself? Do I only need the actual CV Joint or do I need the whole axle assembly?

The easiest is to replace the entire CV axle. You have to remove the axle out to clean, remove and replace the CV joint. And it only costs around $40 more (for the entire axle), but you save 2 hours of labor and a few swear words.
