1997 Nissan Maxima STARTER

5 days ago I got my car back from the mechanic, I had the slave and master clutch cylinders replaced as well as the clutch. Yesterday my car would not start. The battery is fine, as my headlights turn on and are bright. When I turn the key to start nothing happens, no noise or attempt to turn the engine over. I checked and made sure the clutch pedal is depressed fully and still nothing. I tried another key as the one I had been using was fairly worn, still nothing. What could my problem be?

Disclaimer: I am not certified and I am in no way a pro. These are just my thoughts.

Well... I do not know too much about sticks, but if it were an automatic I guess I would try these few things.

Make sure the ing. fuse/fuseable link isn't blown.
In an automatic they need to be in park our Neutral to start.... so I would have someone move the gear selector while I looked on the transmission to make sure it was actually shifting and not broken or popped off. Make sure connections were tight on the starter and battery.

Just my 2 cents. You may want to have another reply or two.

I am also not a qualified mechanic, but I did a clutch job on my Lexus a few days ago- and had a similar issue. I'll call it a blip of brain activity that went missing.
Long story short, to access the clutch (at least on my car) its required to remove the starter. Upon reassembling, and went to start it, I got nothing.

Tirms out the nut that holds the heavy gauge wire that powers the starter wasnt tight enough. Woopsie
