1996 Nissan Maxima trouble shooting code: P0400

THE CODE I HAD BEFOR WAS P0100 WICH WAS MAF SENSOR SO I PUT A NEW MAF SENSOR AND A NEW AIR CHARGE TEMP SENSOR AND CLEARED THE CODES BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON 3 DAYS LATER WITH THIS NEW CODE [P0400] NOW THEY TOLD ME THE 4 PROBABLE CAUSES
1. EGR PASSAGES BLOCKED 2. EGR PINTLE STUCK CLOSED 3. EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE OPEN OR SHORTED 4. EGR TEMPERATURE SENSOR ERROR. NOW PLEASE HELP ME WHAT SHOULD I DO FROM HERE

Well I would personally replace the egr valve and or clean the egr exhaust tube and passages of carbon, basically, its clogged or faulty. I would also change the pcv valve, just for good measure, that could be what is causing the egr to become faulty or dirty
