The car belongs to a friend of mine. She has been complaining that when starting the car, it would crank but not start. After a few times of turning ignition off and trying again to restart, the car would finally start. Of courst this situatiuon got worse. Yesterday she came over with a new fuel filter. We changed the fuel filter, still not start. After a few times of turning over and no start, the starter quit turning over. We changed the starter and she of course expected the car to start. Well it didn't and after her cussing me out because she just spent $130.00 and still no start. I pulled a spark plug and no fire. Any Ideas would be appreciated. For her car and for our friendship. (I wanted to tell her that she ruined the starter by turning it over so much, but.)

Hi alfolsee2000,

No spark at plugs means that the coil is not working.

Check the power supply to coil, condition of crank and cam sensors.

Is the ignition switch ok?
