I have a Nissan Frontier that wont start. When I turn the key to start it sound like the starter engine fires over and over in a put put sound but the engine never begins to fire continously. The engine then sometimes makes a deep rumbling noise but still does not start. The radio and the internal lights and the headlights turn on so I dont think it is the battery. Also, kind of embarrassing but I am not sure what to listen to when people ask "does the engine turn over?" Any help is appreciated.

Check to see if your getting fuel. There is a little black cap on the fuel rail remove and try to start for a couple seconds and then depress the little valve inside but be careful not to get it in your eyes. It, s a little primitive in procedures but if you do have a fuel pressure guage then hook it up and do the same thing and check your pressure it should be between 50-70 psi. If no fuel or the pressure is severly low Replace fuel pump.

Let me know how it goes.

Feed back is appreciated.
