1998 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Automatic 120000 miles

Hey guys, I need some diagnosis. This morning, I cleaned my engine with some 3M engine-car cleaner.

Rinsed it. And all and now I have a severe vibrations at idle and rocking engine and the MIL light is ON!

please someone help.

I'd bet something is wet and a sparkplug is not firing, that would cause the vibration.

And then the computer knows one of the plugs is not firing so the check engine light is coming on because of the mis-fire.

Take off your distributor cap and dry it out and the inside of the distributor and the rotor.

Dry the spark plug wires, WD-40 will help, that was what it was made for.

And make sure your plugs are dry too. Probably should removed them to make sure one is not fouled.
