Hi,

I am getting a rattling sound from the right side of my car. You can only notice it when the window is down (the sound hits off buildings on the side of the road and I hear it).

It doesn't correlate with the transmission. It sounds like there is something within the wheel system because it gets louder and quicker when I go faster.

It doesn't sound like a squealing sound. More like a metal chinging sound.

Thanks.

Without looking at it, I would have to guess the sway bar link & bushing on that side may need to be replaced. However, these things "should" be replaced in pairs - so both the passenger and driver's side should be replaced.

However, you should have someone look at it to determine what part exactly is making the noise - there are a lot of parts in there.

The sway bar links should cost around 30-35 dollars a piece and the bushings (you would need a set of 2 for each side) should cost about 7 bucks a pair, give or take a little.
