How to remove the distributor cap?

Need to remove the distributor cap on my truck listed above 2500 5.9l v8 magnum truck.

If you are only removing the cap, you simply disconnect the central coil wire, then unscrew the two screws that secure it to the distributor base and lift and set it off to the side. If you are replacing it, put the new one next to it and then transfer over each plug wire to the new one, then put the new one on in reverse of the way you removed the old one.
