Need help asap!

I have a 1993 Chevrolet suburban the problem that I am having is that my car will start but it wont go over a certain mileage and if it goes over certain mileage that it will start putting out like to much gas is going to the carbonator and It will just die out.

Scan for codes and check fuel pressure. What engine is in this? If it has tbi unit check under that for a blown gasket an dhose leading to map sensor for being soft and sucking together
